Great Travel With Friends Last Summer
I wasn't sure whether Delhi was the ideal destination for an outing with friends. Yet, when all my friends approved of it, I joined in. We decided to head to Delhi and visit all the prominent historical and tourist locations. I even researched online and came up with this impressive list of places worth visiting in and near Delhi:
Humayum's Tomb
Qutub Minar
India Gate
Birla Mandir
Lotus Temple
National Gandhi Museum
Red Fort
Mughal Gardens
The research was futile because we barely got to cover half of these places in our short trip.
Travel By Air India Flight
I have barely travelled by plane Hyderabad to Delhi flight and this journey was very enjoyable. The checkin is now very quick. We friends had a few coffees and donuts while we waited for the flight to arrive. One of my pals was riveted to his book and raised his eyes from it only after the announcement was made.
It was fun to watch decked up air hostesses guide us through instructions regarding emergency. We switched of the mobile phones and waited for further instructions. I suffered deafness and headache during take off and landing.

The Stay at Our pre booked Hotel
Since eight of us were heading for fun, we had pre booked a room in Gokul Residency at Dwarka. The hotel provided all vital facilities as listed below:
Elegant décor
All day room service
Laundry Service
Active Travel Desk
Suite and Deluxe Rooms
We were all exhausted after the first day's journey and chose to sleep and plan the travel for the next day after getting up. The comfort and facilities in the room helped us enjoy a sound sleep.
Delhi- A Foodie’s Paradise
We did do a lot of travelling but the best part was enjoying typical North Indian food at a Dhaba in Delhi. In our gang, five enjoyed devouring non vegetarian food. Out of the remaining three, one was Vegan while the other two were prescribed a vegetarian diet due to some health issues.
We ordered a marvellous palette of chicken and veg kebabs that were cooked to perfect. A glass full of creamy lassi made the meal complete. Our Vegan friend chose some simple recipes without ghee or butter in it. The tandoori chicken and kalimiri kebab were my favourites. My vegetarian pals enjoyed the paneer tikka and methi malai mutter rich in ghee and butter.
Homecoming was tough
The whole journey was so much fun that returning home was really not in our minds. Yet, we had to return with heavy hearts. The Air India flight air hostesses attended to us with keen interest trying to make us feel comfortable during the journey. It was a comfortable travel and yet a feeling of emptiness filled all our minds.
